Retroperitoneal paraganglioma with metastasis in lumbar vertebra: a case report and literature review
摘要篇首： Paraganglioma and phaeochromocytoma are neoplasms of chromaffin and non-chromaffin tissues found within the autonomic nervous system-associated paraganglia, which could occur as benign or malignant tumor ubiquitously. Paraganglioma often occurs in the retroperitoneal space, which accounts for 1.88 percent of the primary retroperitoneal tumor[1]. We report a case of paraganglioma which was incorrectly diagnosed as adrenal carcinoma preoperatively, but the frozen section analysis and clinical manifestation revealed a malignant paraganglioma.
