摘要篇首： Hypoxia plays a fundamental role in many pathologic processes. Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) is a heterodimeric basic helix-loop-helix-per-aryl hydrocarbon receptor ARNT-sim (PAS) domain protein, consisting of α and β subunits and is precisely regulated by cellular oxygen levels.1 The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are family nuclear hormone-binding proteins with increasing diverse functions as transcriptional regulators, owning three subtypes (α, β, and γ).2 PPARα plays a critical physiological role as lipid sensors and regulators of proliferation.3 Hypoxia can elicit up-regulation of PPAR-α expression.4 Herein, we report the results of an investigation on the correlation of HIF-1α and PPARα.
