摘要To the editor:There are reports on over expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR),vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in esophageal carcinomas (EC).1-3 We conducted a combined analysis on their expression in EC based on immunohistochemical and multiple regression analysis.A total of 114 cases of esophageal cancer confirmed by biopsy were enrolled in our hospital from January 2006 to December 2006,including 75 males and 39 females,aged 39 to 76 years (median 59 years).Thirty-one specimens with well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma,66 with moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma,13 with poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma and 4 specimens with adenocarcinoma were obtained.
