摘要According to Reese-Ellsworth Classification for retinoblastoma,retinoblastoma with vitreous seeding is grade 5B with poor prognosis and was initially proposed for enucleation.Chemotherapy combined with local treatment for retinoblastoma has been proposed as conservative treatment.1 Because of the lack of blood supply to vitreous seeding,the chemotherapy drugs could not reach the vitreous body through blood-retinal barrier.This has been one of the important limiting factors in the treatment of children with retinoblastoma with vitreous seeding.Melphalan proved to be one of the 12 kinds of chemosensitive drugs for anti-retinoblastoma cell colony formation.2 So,we used intravitreal melphalan injection to observe the therapeutic effect on the vitreous seeding.
