Implementing non-invasive positive pressure ventilation approach to respiratory failure after cardiac surgery: devil is in the detail
摘要To the editor:Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NPPV) has been advocated for prevention and early treatment of respiratory failure after cardiac surgery.1-3 We read with great interest the study by Zhu et al4 recently published in the Journal.This timely study adds to current knowledge on this topic,nevertheless several methodological issues raises some concerns and may need further clarification in order to strength the message of the paper and implement its clinical bottom line.In particular,we would like to emphasise the following.
