摘要Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for Chinese women, which has not been paid enough attention at present.Chinese women account for 20 percent of 3.5 billion women all over the world.Health promotion and prevention are facing the rigorous challenge.The pathophysiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, disease diagnosis, drug metabolism and prevention strategies of woman cardiovascular diseases are different from those of men in some respects and require special attention."Consensus for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Chinese women" is developed by Women Physician Committee of Chinese College Cardiovascular Physicians and Women′s Health Work Group of Chinese Society of Cardiology, which is aimed at strengthening and promoting prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Chinese women.
