abstractsChronic constipation is one of the common gastroenterological conditions,which impairs physical and mental health of patients,compromises quality of life and increases medical cost.Constipation is usually managed by changing life styles,using enemas,laxatives,probiotics or antidepressants,performing bio-feedback or behavioral therapy.However,some patients are not satisfied with treatment.It is important to give individualized therapy to special patients with chronic constipation in order to enhance the therapeutic efficacy and to improve the quality of life.
