Enteritidis) is a major etiological agent of acute gastroenteritis in humans;?the mode of infection being consumption of undercooked or improperly handled poultry meat or contaminated eggs or milk[1,2]. Among more than? 2,600? serotypes of Salmonella,? S.? Enteritidis frequently causes Salmonella? infections in humans[3].
