摘要To the Editor:Pancreatic neoplasms are mainly diagnosed by imaging meth-ods and confirmed by biopsies[1].Imaging techniques and the tu-mor markers carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)or carcinoembry-onic antigen(CEA)used for follow-up,are expensive and of low sensitivity and specificity[2].Patients with various types of tumors may have detectable au-toantibodies in the circulation before cancer-associated antigens become measurable and even before the symptomatic form of the disease begins[3-5].These antibodies in cancer would be-have similarly to autoantibodies directed to nuclear and cytoplas-mic antigens in systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoim-mune systemic diseases, showing potential to be used in the di-agnostic and prognostic tool[6].Some studies have used indirect immunofluorescence(IFI)in HEp-2 cells for the detection of au-toantibodies in patients with some tumors, such as breast and lung cancer[7-9].
