The role of narrative nursing in the care of young and middle-aged stroke patients

abstractsObjective:To explore the effect of narrative nursing in the nursing of young and middle-aged stroke patients. Methods:A total of 300 young and middle-aged patients with hemorrhagic stroke admitted to the Neurosurgery Department of Xianyang Hospital of Yan 'an University from February 2022 to January 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group (implemented narrative nursing) and the control group (implemented routine nursing) by random number table method, with 150 cases in each group. The complication rate of the two groups was compared. The stroke score and self-efficacy of the two groups were evaluated by the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) on the day of admission and 1 day before discharge, respectively. Results:On the day of admission, there was no significant difference in GSES and NIHSS scores between the two groups ( P>0.05).One day before discharge, the GSES scale score of the control group was lower than that of the observation group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05).The complication rate and NIHSS scale score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Narrative nursing can reduce the incidence of complications and improve stroke symptoms and self-efficacy in young and middle-aged stroke patients.
