abstractsMannose receptor belongs to C-type lectin receptor. It is an important pattern recognition receptor and expressed in macrophages and immature dendritic cells. Previous study showed that it participated in multiple biological functions, such as maintaining homeostasis, innate and acquired immune,and clearance of pathogenic microorganisms infected. However, recent progress confirms that mannose receptor is also involved in reproduction, cell adhesion and migration, and cell activation. It plays an important role in the tumor metastasis, respiratory diseases, kidney diseases and other diseases, which may possess important clinical value.
