Eph
Research progress of Eph/ephrin signaling transduction pathway in infectious diseases

abstractsErythropoietin-producing hepatocellular receptor(Eph) receptors are the most prominent family of receptor tyrosine kinases, and the signaling mediated by Eph receptors and their membrane-anchored ligand, Ephrin, depends on direct cell-to-cell contact. Meanwhile, due to their structural features of receptor-ligand complexes and unique interaction patterns, they can bind to pathogen-associated molecular patterns on the surface of various microbial cells and play an important role in developing various infectious diseases through different signaling. The Eph family of receptors has a wide range of clinical research value because of its structural characteristics and unique interaction patterns. This review focuses on the regulation mechanism of the Eph/ephrin signaling transduction pathway in bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites, and other infectious diseases and provides a theoretical basis for their basic research and clinical application in infectious diseases.
