abstractsMental rotation is the special cognitive process of imagining subjective or objective rotation,which is an important evaluation of spatial capacity of the brain.The response to stimulation of mental rotation tasks varies with changes of the stimulation and is gender dependent.Investigations have been conducted to find the physiological and psychological basis for the gender differences in mental rotation.Review of the recent development in the study on gender differences under different mental rotation stimulations is given in this article.
