abstractsCurrently, open partial nephrectomy is still the standard option for small renal tumors. Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy is an emerging minimally invasive ,nephron sparing approach for small renal cell carcinoma. Simple tumor enucleation, not associated with an increased risk of local recurrence com-pared to partial nephrectomy, is a safe and acceptable treatment for elective nephron-sparing surgery. Additionally, ablative techniques offer a combination of nephron-sparing and minimally invasive approa-ches,which brings a perspective of new treatments.
