abstractsAtrioventricular septal defect is a congenital heart disease caused by abnormal development of endo-cardial cushion.The main characteristic feature of the disease include the common atrioventricular junction,the five－leaflet valve and the abnormality of the conduction system.Surgical treatment mainly includes single patch technique, two－patch technique and modified single patch technique.With the continuous understanding of this disease,the surgi-cal treatment of atrioventricular septal defect has made a great progress.
