Caudal hematopoietic tissue supports definitive erythrocytes via epoa and is dispensable for definitive neutrophils

摘要The blood system originates from hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs),capable of self-renewal and differentiation,generating diverse blood cell types(Eaves,2015;Lucas,2021).The concept of the hematopoietic niche was first proposed in 1978(Schofield,1978),which is crucial for maintaining hematopoietic balance.The following studies,particularly in mammals,have utilized targeted ge-netic manipulation to identify and define these niches.For instance,the yolk sac supports primitive erythrocytes and myeloid cells,whereas T cell development and maturation primarily rely on a niche composed of thymic epithelial cells,in which Foxn1 plays a crucial role(?uklys et al.2016).
