摘要血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)家族是一组包含有8个半胱氨酸残基的二聚糖蛋白,它们通过与相应的受体结合而在血管和淋巴管发生中起重要的作用.其中VEGF-A主要参与血管的发生过程,抑制VEGF-A的表达和作用可以起到治疗癌症和防治新生血管性疾病的目的.另外有大量的研究证明,VEGF受体-2(VEGFR-2)还可以在许多非血管组织的细胞中表达,并可能在这些细胞的分化与存活中起到一定的作用.自胚胎期晶状体泡形成时,VEGF和VEGFR-2就可以检测到表达,并且一直持续至成年以后.晶状体自身分泌的VEGF可能通过自分泌或旁分泌在晶状体的分化和发育中起到一定的作用.
