基于依托式教学的医学英语第二课堂活动
Extracurricular activities for medical English course under the guidance of content-based instruction
摘要医学英语对于医学生来讲是必不可少的工具学科.但有限的课时限制了在课堂上开展大量的语言活动以训练专业英语应用能力,因此,可以开展第二课堂活动对医学英语课堂教学进行补充.第二课堂活动的特点能满足依托式(Content based instruction,CBI)教学的特征,为实战演习提供真实情景.在需求分析的基础上,对医学英语第二课堂活动的具体形式进行探讨,从而培养学生具备运用专业英语交流专业知识的能力.

abstractsMedical English is an indispensible tool subject for medical students.However,the limited in-class teaching hours fail to provide adequate opportunities for students to participate in a diversity of subject-based tasks to practice medical English.Therefore,extracurricular activities serve as a complement to in-class teaching.Moreover,the features of extracurricular activities conform to those of Content-based instruction ( CBI),a teaching mode adopted in the teaching of ESP ( English for special purposes).The specific forms of extracurricular activities can be designed based on need analysis to cultivate the students' language competence in communicating biomedicine in Medical English.
