ASPIRIN AND DIPYRIDAMOLE INHIBITION OF COLLAGEN-INDUCED PLATELET AGGREGATION AND RELEASE IN CYNOMOLGUS MONKEYS
摘要The in vitro aggregability of platelets and release of platelet granular material were studied in platelets isolated from cynomolgus monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) as related to oral medication with aspirin and dipyridamole. In treated monkeys platelet aggregation decreased in response to low but not high collagen concentrations. Release of platelet serotonin reduced in treated animals at all collagen concentrations but this reduction was more pronounced at low collagen concentrations. The effectiveness of aspirin and dipyridamole in preventing platelet aggregation and release reaction at sites of vascular injury may therefore depend on the amount of exposed subendothelial collagen.
