摘要This is a review of the X-ray findings in 147 cases of anterior interbody fusion for cervical spondylitic myelopathy, to demonstrate the condition of bone graft taking, the appearance of new osteophytes, the absorption of original osteophytes, the changes of height of the fused vertebral bodies and the alteration of the myelographic findings. These informations were obtained with X-ray examination at regular intervals post-operatively. The analysis showed that the extent of the operation, the failure of bone graft taking and the changes of the height of the fused vertebral bodies were not related significantly to the effects of the operation. In those patients whose osteophytes at the posterior border of the vertebral bodies were absorbed and blunted after operation, the symptoms of all of them were improved. The post-operative myelographic findings are good monitors for results of surgery.
