abstractsAcromegaly treatments mainly include surgery, radiotherapy, and medication. Despite significant progress has been made in the treatment of acromegaly in recent decades, some patients still fail to achieve biochemical remission or clinical control. Recently, J Clin Endocrinol Metab published a review entitled " New therapies for acromegaly in development" (Gadelha MR, Gadelha AC, Kasuki L. J Clin Endocrinol Metab, 2023, 27: dgad568). This article is open access, and this translation provides an overview of its content in Chinese. The review summarizes relevant literature, discusses novel drugs currently under development for acromegaly, and proposes that these new drugs may offer new options for the treatment of acromegaly in the future.
