abstractsBrain organoids are self-organized 3D aggregates generated by human embryonic stem cells or human induced pluripotent stem cells. Their cell type and structure are similar to embryonic human brain, which are good in vitro models for the study of neurogenetic diseases and have been widely used in the study of neurogenetic diseases. This paper will discuss the advantages and challenges of brain organoids in the modeling of genetic diseases of the nervous system.
