abstractsStudying ancient and modern literatures,we researched on Dish Mustard Seed (菥蓂子) about its name of traditional Chinese medicine,the original plant,medicinal three aspects.Dish Mustard Seed as a drug name is contained in the Shennong Bencao Jing(Shen Nong's Herbal Classic)《神农本草经》 and has been in use ever since.The original plant is the genus Thlaspi arvense L.,Dish MustardSeed of the whole plant and seeds can be used as medicine.But the ancient herbal literatures confused the original plant with other plants,We correct this series of mistakes.
