摘要To provide a system for performing a spinal procedure capable of minimizing the size of a surgical corridor so as to reduce a recovery period.SOLUTION: A system for performing a minimally invasive spinal procedure comprises: an implant having an implant body, the implant body having a superior surface and an inferior surface, a groove disposed on the superior surface and another groove disposed on the inferior surface; and a guide having a pair of guide members. Each of the guide members of the pair includes elongated members each having an inner surface defining a surgical corridor, and has a rib extending in the length direction along the elongated member, the ribs configured to slidingly engage the grooves disposed on the superior and inferior surfaces of the implant body. The guide includes an engagement mechanism disposed on a proximal end of the guide, the engagement mechanism including a pair of engagement members and configured to secure proximal ends of the guide members together, where each of the engagement members of the pair includes one half of a concentric bore so as to form a through hole when the pair of engagement members is engaged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9C
